About the Role

GKN Aerospace is seeking a highly skilled Lean Deployment Leader to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a central role in driving our Lean Transformation initiative and ensuring the successful deployment of our Lean Excellence Model across our sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coach our leadership team in the deployment of the Lean Excellence Model, ensuring rigour and fidelity to our model.
  • Develop and execute a site-specific Lean Deployment plan, driving significant improvements in People, Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cash, and Cost (PSQDCC) targets.
  • Coach and mentor our performance center teams in their deployment of the Lean Excellence Model, ensuring they become self-sufficient in running the Lean Operating Model.
  • Ensure the correct allocation of resources to support the Lean deployment, making problems immediately visible and enabling problem-solving to take place.
  • Deliver significant improvements in Lean Maturity, meeting our site's customer and stakeholder commitments.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent experience in a manufacturing/industrial setting.
  • 3+ years of lean deployment/leadership experience, with a strong understanding of Lean Thinking and Lean Leadership.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence all levels of the organization.
  • Strong experience utilizing and implementing daily management, with a track record of leadership and direction through effective communications and team building.
