Principal Teacher

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Principal Teacher to join our Education Directorate team. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will contribute to the strategic vision for our schools and work with stakeholders to implement and pursue objectives set in policies.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead and manage school improvement, both at strategic and operational levels, to ensure continuous improvement. You will be responsible for supporting the senior leadership team and working with a wide range of stakeholders to drive positive outcomes for our children and young people.

• Contribute to the development of a self-improving system across the education community
• Work with stakeholders to implement and pursue objectives set in policies
• Lead and manage school improvement, both at strategic and operational levels
• Support the senior leadership team in driving positive outcomes for our children and young people

To be successful in this role, you will need to have high levels of interpersonal skills and abilities, as well as a strong commitment to improving life chances for all. You will also need to be fully registered with the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS) in the relevant sector.
