About the Role

We are seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Langley Campus, working evenings within the Adult Education Provision. This is a term-time position, and the successful candidate will provide support to adult learners with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to enable them to access the curriculum and participate fully in college life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with teaching and learning, providing educational and mentoring support for students with SEN.
  • Work under the direction of the Curriculum Leader for Adults and Lecturers to promote positive relationships and acceptable behaviour.
  • Support students with different needs, using flexibility and initiative to meet their requirements.
  • Contribute to the academic and personal development of students with additional needs.
Requirements
  • A can-do attitude and ability to build rapport with students and staff.
  • Flexibility in working with different students and willingness to take on new challenges.
  • Good organizational, administrative, and planning skills.
  • Commitment to the academic and personal development of students with additional needs.
  • Good communication skills and ability to use initiative and think ahead.
