About the Role

University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust is seeking a highly motivated and caring Level 3 Qualified Nursery Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our nursery staff, you will be responsible for providing a safe, secure, and stimulating environment for children aged 3 months to 5 years.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver a range of enjoyable, stimulating, and educational activities for a group of children, covering all aspects of their individual development.
  • Build strong attachments with children and their families, and work closely with the nursery SENDco to support children with additional needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of children's development, learning, and activities, and contribute to the evaluation of activities and online learning journals.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene, and assist with the preparation and serving of food.
  • Exercise a duty of care for work colleagues and ensure a safe working environment for all children, staff, and visitors.

Requirements

  • Good standard of secondary education with literacy and numeracy skills demonstrable to GCSE pass level or equivalent standard.
  • Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years Qualification (in accordance with ) or above.
  • Able to provide relevant activity ideas and care for children, with a recent previous experience of working with 3 months - 5-year-olds within a childcare setting.
