Position Overview

We are seeking applications for a part-time Locum Consultant Paediatrician role at a leading children's healthcare facility, offering 6 sessions per week to cover a temporary absence. Candidates with a special focus on epilepsy are encouraged to apply.

The facility serves both secondary and tertiary care needs, catering to a diverse population. This position is available during a pivotal period of growth and enhancement of paediatric services, following significant developments in the hospital's infrastructure.

Candidates should ideally be on the Specialist Register or nearing completion of their training, with expected certification within three months of the interview date.

It is essential for applicants to provide comprehensive references covering at least the last three years of their professional history. Those who have held a substantive Consultant or Locum Consultant position for over a year must also include their Medical Director as a reference.

Key Responsibilities

This role presents an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to join a team of experienced Consultant Paediatricians, delivering comprehensive paediatric care. We also welcome candidates with a special interest in neurology.

Additional outpatient services are available at affiliated hospitals, along with community paediatric services in various locations.

The health board is recognized for its excellence in teaching and offers a wide range of clinical services.

Flexible working arrangements will be considered for suitable candidates.

The position offers an attractive Consultant contract, with a base salary of £63,240 per annum for a commitment of 6 sessions per week.
