About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Norwegian Language Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Universally Speaking. As a key member of our Quality Assurance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality of our games and applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct linguistic quality assurance testing on games and applications to identify and report bugs and errors.
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure that all features and functionalities are thoroughly tested and meet our quality standards.
  • Develop and execute test cases to ensure that our games and applications are free from linguistic errors and meet our quality standards.
  • Work closely with our QA team to ensure that all testing is completed on time and to a high standard.
  • Participate in test requirement gathering with developers to ensure that Localisation QA effectively tests and supports all features of the project.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to our testing processes and procedures.
Requirements
  • Expert-level proficiency in Norwegian language and culture.
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills.
  • Passion for video games and a strong understanding of the gaming industry.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proactive and tenacious approach to testing and quality assurance.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify linguistic errors.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office Suite and other software tools.
  • Right to work in the UK.
Desirable Skills
  • Previous experience in LQA, translation, or proofreading.
  • Experience with working with software tools in use for LQA testing (test case management and text editing tools).
  • Working knowledge of CAT tools (MemoQ).
  • Knowledge of the video game industry and trends.
