Job Description:

We are working with Eaton Syalon Limited, an accountancy practice, to hire an experienced Bookkeeper to join their team. The ideal candidate will have good knowledge of managing a portfolio of small business clients and working with Xero.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage bookkeeping for a portfolio of small business clients.
  • Process sales and purchase invoices, receipts, and payments.
  • Reconcile bank statements and prepare VAT returns.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  • Assist in the preparation of management accounts.
  • Liaise with clients to provide support on financial queries.
  • Prepare and submit self-assessment tax returns for small business owners.
  • Support with year-end accounts and liaising with accountants.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in bookkeeping within an accountancy firm setting.
  • Proficiency in Xero (or similar accounting software).
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to build strong working relationships with clients.
