About the Role

Fleet Education Services is seeking a dedicated and passionate Science Tutor to join our team of experienced educators. As a Science Tutor, you will play a vital role in supporting learners who require dedicated, in-person support to achieve their academic goals.

Our learners are situated throughout Stevenage, and we are looking for a tutor who can provide high-quality tuition on a 1:1 or small group basis. You will work with learners who have complex learning requirements, including special educational needs (SEN), social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, and childhood trauma.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create engaging lesson plans and deliver tuition that inspires and teaches.
  • Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback to foster continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with learner guardians/teachers to ensure academic success.
  • Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions and learner performance through our virtual learning platform.

Requirements
  • Must hold a Bachelor's level degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 6 months teaching/tutoring experience within the UK.
  • Must live and be eligible to work in the UK.
  • Must be willing to undertake a full Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and referencing process, as well as subscribing to the DBS Update Service.
  • A commitment to safeguarding.
  • Experience supporting students with SEN, SEMH, and other complex needs.
