About NCIC
North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust (NCIC) was established through the merger of two prominent healthcare organizations, aiming to provide integrated health and care services that enhance the well-being of the local population. Our commitment to excellence has positioned us as a leading integrated care system on a national level.
We operate two Acute Medical Units, each equipped with approximately 30 beds, providing comprehensive medical services. Our team is actively engaged in developing a 'Same Day Emergency Care' model, which includes ambulatory care, frailty services, and a newly established Hyper Acute Stroke Unit. The Trust has received national recognition for its innovative workforce model, and there will be opportunities for involvement in the training and educational mentorship of medical trainees at various levels.
Role Responsibilities
Relocation assistance of up to £8,000 may be available for successful candidates relocating to the area.

Qualifications and Experience
Essential Requirements
- Full Registration with the General Medical Council.
- Entry on the GMC specialist register via relevant CCT, CESR, or European Community Rights.
- Membership in the Royal College of Physicians or an equivalent body.
- Demonstrated competency in emergency and elective index cases.
Desirable Qualifications
- Special interest or certification in a specific medical specialty.
Experience and Skills

- Extensive clinical experience and proficiency in Acute Medicine.
- Completion of Higher Specialist Training (CCT) in General (Internal) Medicine, Acute Internal Medicine, or equivalent competency.

- Capacity to take full and independent responsibility for patient care.
