About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Shift Technician to join our team at Peel Ports Group. As a key member of our Engineering team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our heavy plant and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance activities on heavy plant and equipment, including conveyor systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating equipment.
  • Utilize diagnostic equipment to fault find and problem solve, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • Liaise with operations to prioritize breakdown repairs and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Assist the team in project work, quality assurance systems, and health and safety initiatives.
  • Document all activities and maintain accurate records in line with our Health and Safety policy and HSE regulations.
Requirements
  • Minimum ONC/HNC or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
  • Extensive practical experience with heavy plant and equipment, ideally in Quarrying or Bulk Handling operations.
  • Sound working knowledge of Permit to Work systems and incident reporting.
  • Working knowledge of Programmable Logical Control or drive control systems and HV networks.
  • Knowledge of CMMS (e.g., SAP) and document sharing software, as well as effective maintenance strategies such as RCM, PM, CBM, and TPM.
  • Full valid driving license.
