Job Title: Senior Analyst

At the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR), we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our Impact Programme, you will play a crucial role in driving the implementation and maintenance of NIHR Indicator evidence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Chair the 'NIHR Indicators Delivery Group' within the NIHR Impact Programme
  • Report on progress within monthly Impact Programme Board meetings
  • Liaise with other NIHR Impact Programme projects across delivery groups
  • Maintain and review key process-related documents
  • Lead a group of 'indicator leads', managing and supporting data collection, analysis
  • Write up process for all NIHR indicator evidence, reviewing technical reports and writing thematic highlight reports for the NIHR Impact Programme
  • Coordinate and lead meetings/workshops with Sponsor and Community of Interest groups
  • Maintain close working relationships with NIHR stakeholders across analytical, Impact
  • Support an organisational learning culture guided by NIHR's strategic direction and organisational messaging, including the '4 i's' of Impact, Innovation, Inclusion and Investment
  • Support future development of data collection and analytical approaches
Requirements:
  • Postgraduate degree in a science or biomedical field
  • Background in social sciences, working in a research funding organisation, relevant experience in evaluation, social or policy research, or digital humanities
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative research knowledge and analytical skills, with the ability to develop and trial innovative methodologies that collate data from across systems
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to apply creative solutions to complex problems
