Role Overview:
In the absence of the Team Leader, the Support Services Coordinator will oversee service delivery at The Forecastle and lead the implementation of the RSI and NSAP services.
You will assist the Team Leader in guiding, motivating, and inspiring the staff team to provide high-quality, trauma-informed, and strengths-based support services for vulnerable adults, ensuring effective management of housing functions.
The Forecastle is a supported accommodation service funded by local authorities, designed to provide housing-related support for individuals with low to medium support needs.
Our services aim to assist individuals who have faced homelessness in securing stable, long-term housing solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate access to accommodation through collaborative partnerships with local authorities and other organizations.
- Deliver person-centered support addressing various issues, including financial inclusion, mental and physical health, and pathways to education and employment.
- Work alongside the Team Leader to provide leadership that reduces repeat homelessness and enhances outcomes for vulnerable adults.
- Supervise relief staff, offering direction, support, and coaching to the team while promoting ongoing professional development.
- Evaluate the quality of support and housing management provided by your team, utilizing outcome tools and systems to assess impact and ensure a psychologically informed approach.
- Ensure data collection by the team and prepare monthly and quarterly reports for relevant stakeholders.
- Collaborate across services as needed to maintain the delivery of comprehensive support services.
Essential Qualifications:
- Current knowledge of safeguarding and protection strategies related to children, young people, and adults, with the ability to identify risks.
- Understanding of support service delivery within a psychologically informed environment.
- Awareness of the factors contributing to homelessness and social exclusion, particularly for vulnerable parents and individuals recovering from substance dependence.
- Familiarity with housing legislation.
- Experience in supporting individuals who have experienced trauma or domestic abuse.
