About the Role

We are seeking a qualified nurse or paramedic to join our team at Care & Custody - A Mitie Company. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and ever-changing environment, providing high-quality care to detainees in police custody suites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional care to detainees in police custody suites, working closely with the police to ensure their safety and well-being.
  • Work in a team environment, covering custody suites 24/7 to ensure the safety of detainees.
  • Participate in a rolling rota pattern, working a mix of day and night shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders, including police officers and other healthcare professionals.
  • Contribute to the development of clinical, forensic, and wider skills, working towards a gold standard of care.

Requirements
  • Driving Licence (required)
  • Must be a UK resident for 3 years + no gaps out of country more than 3 months
  • All candidates will be subject to Police Vetting
  • RN, RGN or (RMN with dual registration): 2 years post qualification - Band 5 minimum
  • Paramedic 2 years post qualification
  • Minimum of 2 years post qualification experience in a patient-facing role within a relevant field
