Job Title: Mobile School Crossing Officer

Job Summary: We are seeking a punctual and reliable individual to join our School Crossing Patrol Team as a Mobile School Crossing Patrol Officer.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess the risks associated with operating at the crossing site and report any problems or defects to the supervisor.
  • Provide clear signals to drivers when stopping traffic and ensure that the traffic remains at rest until the road at the crossing point is clear of pedestrians.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports on accidents and failure to stop incidents and other incidents occurring at the crossing site.
  • Maintain all uniform and equipment provided in good condition and request replacements when needed.

Requirements:

  • A driving licence and access to a vehicle, or the ability to meet the mobility requirements of the role through other means.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Working Hours: 5 hours per week retainer paid, plus duty hours worked; with a holiday pay element included.

Location: Countywide.
