Job Title: Scientific Data Management Group Leader

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Biomedical Scientist to join our team as a Scientific Data Management Group Leader. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of professionals in the management of scientific data and to contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and monitor staff in the performance of routine and specialized diagnostic services.
  • Design and plan departmental rotas, allocate and reallocate work schedules, and determine work priorities to meet service needs.
  • Support the Department Manager in the planning, development, co-ordination, and evaluation of the pathology service.
  • Record, validate, and interpret complex results, and authorize individual reports from the team.
  • Co-ordinate external and internal quality assurance schemes and supervise compliance with departmental audit schedules.
  • Manage the propagation and maintenance of all laboratory aspects of the ISO/CPA standards and MHRA requirements.
Requirements:
  • HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist with a relevant Biomedical Science MSc or equivalent level 7 qualification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the Haematology Site leads on other CWPS sites and with the Network Quality, Training, and Performance leads for Haematology.
