Recycling Operations Manager

The Recruitment Co is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Recycling Team Leader to join our team in Barnsley. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading and managing the day-to-day recycling operations, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage the recycling operations team, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
- Supervise and train team members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
- Oversee the sorting, processing, and packaging of recyclable materials, ensuring compliance with company and customer specifications.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, identifying and mitigating potential risks.
- Monitor and report on production metrics and performance, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Previous experience in a leadership role within a recycling or manufacturing environment.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- A commitment to maintaining health and safety protocols, with experience in enforcing these in a team setting.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members and management.
- Knowledge of recycling processes and experience in a production or processing facility would be an advantage.
- A competitive salary of £24,000 (negotiable for the right candidate).
- 37.5 hours per week.
