We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Veterinary Nurse to join our night team at Kentdale Referrals Cumbria. As a key member of our clinical team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional overnight care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake all general nursing duties within the practice, including assisting veterinary surgeons as needed.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date medical records, anaesthetic sheets, and hospitalisation forms.
  • Care for all in-patients, including pre-op care, monitoring, and recovery, as well as post-op care and medication.
  • Participate in stock rotation and replenishment, and ensure effective inventory management.
  • Support with reception duties, reporting on patient progress to clients as needed.
  • Contribute to the cleaning and maintenance of the premises, including clinical areas and equipment.
  • Understand and adhere to health and safety policies, including the use of anaesthetic machines and scavenger units.
  • Welcome and support visiting veterinary surgeons, students, and work experience employees.
  • Participate in relevant continuing professional development (CPD) and in-house training.
