About the Role
The Hyde Group is seeking a highly skilled and versatile Carpenter - Multi Trades Specialist to join our dynamic maintenance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to carpentry, plumbing, plastering, and general maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carpentry Tasks: Conducting carpentry tasks, including constructing, installing, and repairing wooden structures.
- Plumbing Duties: Performing plumbing repairs, installations, and maintenance of plumbing systems.
- Plastering and General Maintenance: Applying plaster to walls and ceilings and conducting repairs as needed, as well as addressing general maintenance issues, including painting, tiling, and other tasks as required.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborating with other maintenance professionals to complete comprehensive property projects, reading and interpreting blueprints, project specifications, and work orders, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols and guidelines.
- Record Keeping and Customer Service: Maintaining accurate records of work performed and materials used, and providing excellent customer service to customers.
Requirements:
- Experience and Skills: Proven experience in multiple trades, including carpentry, plumbing, plastering, and general maintenance, proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools, knowledge of trade-specific techniques, materials, and safety protocols.
- Personal Qualities: Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, strong problem-solving and communication skills, physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labor.
- Desirable Qualifications: Experience working in social housing, valid driver's license.
