Key Responsibilities
AIG is seeking a UK Environmental Product Line Lead based in London. This role requires a dynamic and motivated individual with substantial expertise in Environmental Insurance.
In this position, you will be tasked with formulating and implementing the UK Environmental strategy aimed at achieving sustainable profitability while adhering to underwriting standards and governance. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the execution of the UK Environmental strategy and managing P&L, focusing on production and profitability through targeted initiatives in collaboration with the London Casualty Manager and Head of International Environmental.
- Enhancing the AIG Value Proposition for clients and brokers by integrating claims, engineering/CRS, and multinational capabilities into daily underwriting practices.
- Providing day-to-day leadership to the UK Environmental underwriting teams.
- Ensuring consistent underwriting best practices and compliance with guidelines and pricing standards in UK Environmental, while working closely with the Head of International Environmental to maintain a unified approach.
- Overseeing audits, quality assessments, and peer reviews to ensure robust monitoring and improvement of underwriting results, while ensuring adherence to risk appetite and pricing adequacy in collaboration with the London Casualty Manager and Head of International Environmental.
- Managing portfolio oversight to guide strategic underwriting decisions, ensuring financial and underwriting goals are met in partnership with the UK Casualty Leadership team.

- Extensive knowledge of the UK Environmental insurance market.
- Established relationships within the UK Environmental sector.
- Comprehensive experience in Environmental underwriting.
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop a team of professionals.
