Electronic Systems Engineer

This role is for the primary technical support for the Engine Electronic system. It will entail the complete product development lifecycle from development prior to production through to post-production maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in the selection of suitable Electronic components.
  • Participate in the failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) and validation activities for the Electronic system and components, maintaining & improving validation test plans.
  • Provide technical support to queries related to pinouts, schematic questions, and software functionality support.
  • Investigate, analyze, and troubleshoot any reported quality issues.
  • Experience in the broad range of systems engineering activities involved in the development of Electronic Engine, machine, or automotive control systems.
  • Demonstrated experience of:
    1. Integration activities of the system for both fault finding and for Electronic system design, including PWM, analogue, and communications signals.
    2. Actively collecting and developing detailed Electronic related customer requirements, resulting in Electronic technical specifications.
    3. Defining Electronic features and coordinating the development of them by other teams.
    4. Performing system verification testing of components and software features.
Desirable Skills:
  • Knowledge of engine systems associated with the electronic system (e.g., CAN, Vector CANape, and CANalyzer tool experience).
  • Product structuring and configuration tools experience (e.g., Siemens Teamcentre Engineering, Creo).
  • PPAP or FMEA facilitator and design validation planning experience.
