About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our team as Lead Psychologist in our Eating Disorders Inpatient Unit. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing specialist clinical psychology input to the unit, including individual assessment, formulation, intervention, and supervision/consultation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the current psychology team, comprising a CBT therapist, psychotherapist, art psychotherapist, and assistant psychologists.
  • Provide specialist clinical psychology input to the unit, including individual assessment, formulation, intervention, and supervision/consultation.
  • Draw on a full range of clinical psychology theories to inform clinical work and consultation.
  • Contribute to the delivery and management of the psychological groups programme, including facilitation and supervision.
  • Support other members of the team, providing consultancy, clinical and management supervision, and training as appropriate.
  • Participate in a programme of continuing professional development and annual appraisal.
  • Consult with colleagues in the multidisciplinary team on psychological aspects of clients' assessments and therapy plans.
  • Attend MDT meetings and CPA reviews.
  • Attend and engage with team supervision and development activities.
  • Participate in other meetings or committees as necessary.
Requirements
  • Doctorate in Clinical/Counselling Psychology.
  • HCPC registration as a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist.
  • Post-qualification experience in a setting relevant to the post.
  • Clinical management certificate/qualification.
  • Experience of specialist psychological assessment, group and individual therapy with complex presentations.
  • Experience working within an MDT.
  • Experience of delivering supervision.
  • Evidence of continued professional development.
  • Experience of delivering and supervising psychometric and cognitive tests.
