About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Briggs and Forrester Group in Northampton. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for managing the financial and contractual aspects of our housing developments.
Main Responsibilities
- Procurement and subcontract management, including administration of contracts and monthly valuations
- Managing variation accounts, monthly payments, and final account settlements
- Supporting the delivery of our business vision, goals, and strategy
Requirements
- At least 5 years' experience in quantity surveying, with a strong background in account management and commercial expertise
- Proven track record of working at a similar level within a construction or residential organization
Essential Skills and Attributes
- Subcontract procurement and account management
- Regular assessment of work and variation assessment
- Valuations and timely submissions in accordance with contract requirements
- Accurate cost value reconciliations and forecasting
- Risk identification and mitigation
- Contractual matters and dispute resolution
- Collaborative working relationships with clients, supply chain, and internal teams
- Leadership and team player skills
- Excellent communication, presentation, and planning skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
