About the Opportunity

Westlakes Recruit is seeking a highly skilled Control and Instrumentation Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our project and engineering portfolio, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality engineering solutions to our clients.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nuclear or defence engineering, with experience in site walkdowns, document updates, and technical expertise. You will be supported by experienced project engineering management professionals and given the training and opportunities to develop your skills and expand your project engineering management and leadership abilities.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting site walkdowns to identify and resolve technical issues
  • Updating existing documents and drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Collaborating with project planners to develop and implement project plans
  • Preparing and planning plant modifications to meet client requirements
  • Providing technical expertise and knowledge to troubleshoot activities and tasks

Qualifications

  • Hold a relevant engineering degree/HNC/Chartership in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
  • Be adaptable and able to transfer existing skills onto new problems, ideally from a design background
  • Be organized and able to work on multiple projects
  • Have a passion for solving engineering design problems using CAD software
