Job Summary

Hunter Selection Limited is seeking a highly skilled Quality Controller to join a brand-new unit in a Market Leading Manufacturing company. This exciting opportunity is perfect for an experienced Quality Professional with manufacturing experience, preferably within a labelling, printing or packaging context.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular quality checks on ongoing production to ensure critical specifications are met, including internal and external diameter, length, moisture content, weight, crush value, gluing, coating, and paper used.
  • Manage the receipt and storage of raw materials and consumables, ensuring they meet quality standards.
  • Implement and maintain quality protocols for incoming goods, including inspection and testing.
  • Develop and maintain customer specifications, including sample specifications.
  • Handle internal complaints and monitor the progress of complaint handling, implementing corrective and preventive measures as necessary.
  • Register and track corrective and preventive measures taken in response to internal complaints.
  • Manage trial orders and ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality standards are met throughout the production process.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance quality skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in quality control or a related field, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of quality protocols and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field preferred.
