About the Role:
In response to a robust project pipeline, Cityscape is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to aid the Senior Quantity Surveyor in effectively managing the commercial and financial aspects of projects and tenders within the groundworks and demolition sectors.
As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, your role will involve assisting in cost management with the objective of maximizing project margins and ensuring timely payments while nurturing future client relationships.
Key responsibilities will encompass:
- Supporting the timely submission of all payment applications and Final Accounts, ensuring all contractual rights are upheld.
- Assisting in the preparation and presentation of monthly Cost Value Reconciliations (CVR) and final cost/value forecasts.
- Engaging in procurement, negotiation, and the placement of sub-contract orders, contributing to the financial and commercial oversight of sub-contracts through the settlement of Final Accounts.
Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality presentation are essential, particularly when drafting contractual correspondence to meet contract specifications.
About You:
To qualify for this position, candidates should possess a degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related field.
A minimum of 2 years of post-graduate experience is required, specifically gained while working for a main contractor or specialist subcontractor in the UK, focusing on demolition, substructure, or general civil engineering.

About the Compensation:
Cityscape provides a competitive salary range of £35,000 to £45,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, along with the standard benefits associated with a successful contractor.
