About the Role: Actuarial Developer

As an Actuarial Developer at Moody's, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining critical features within our proprietary AXIS platform. You will collaborate closely with actuaries, developers, and client support teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements for new AXIS modules and provide technical insights.
  • Analyze and develop innovative solutions to address complex actuarial challenges presented by clients.
  • Design, implement, and test new features within the AXIS platform, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Investigate and resolve bugs reported by clients, providing timely and effective solutions.
  • Contribute to the development of expertise in specific actuarial domains through research and participation in relevant working groups.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science or a related field, with a strong foundation in computer science principles.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in actuarial programming, demonstrating proficiency in object-oriented design and development methodologies.
  • Possession of the Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation, actively pursuing the Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA).
  • Experience with C++ programming language and development tools such as Visual Studio.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.
