Job Title: Software Team Lead

Location: Remote (3 days on-site per week)

Salary: £70-£80k (dependent on experience)

Job Overview:

As a Software Team Lead at Zenovo Ltd, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing a team of skilled Software Engineers. You will be responsible for ensuring the team's productivity and efficiency while maintaining exceptional standards in software development for their Maritime Products.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead and Mentor a Team: Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment, guiding team members to achieve their full potential.
  2. Project Oversight: Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, ensuring alignment with project deadlines and overall objectives.
  3. Software Development Lifecycle: Oversee projects from initial design to final implementation, ensuring quality and timeliness.
  4. Requirements and Design: Develop requirement specifications, high-level design documents, development plans, and comprehensive test documentation.
  5. Process Improvement: Establish and maintain software development procedures to enhance team effectiveness and product quality.
  6. Product Maintenance: Provide maintenance and enhancements for existing products, including direct support for client engineers, technicians, and Field Service Engineers.
  7. Innovation and Growth: Drive innovation by leading the development of new software products that meet client needs and market demands.
  8. Build and Deployment: Manage the software build process, ensuring that systems and applications are properly developed and deployed.
Essential Technical Knowledge:
  1. Programming Experience: Embedded C/C++
  2. GUI Development: Proficient in GUI development
  3. Micro-controllers: Experience with PIC & ARM micro-controllers
  4. Communication Protocols: Implemented communication protocols such as TCP/IP and serial communication (UART, SPI, I2C)
  5. Operating Systems: Developed software on a Linux OS & Windows Environment
Educational Background:

Degree in a relevant field, such as Software Engineering
