Site Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Site Engineer to join our Construction team at MWHTreatment, based at Bewl Water. As a key member of our team, you will report directly to the Site Manager and be responsible for providing setting out and quality control services to ensure that our contract works are constructed to the specification in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with C.D.M. Regulations and compliance with our Company safe working practices.
  • Assist in the preparation of construction programmes, method statements, action plans, and risk assessments.
  • Setting out the works to ensure accurate and efficient construction.
  • Checking site work to ensure compliance with the specification and drawings.
  • Agreeing site measurements and records with the client's staff.
  • Maintaining drawing files, drawing registers, and site filling systems.
  • Liaising with the design department to ensure updated information is used.
  • Taking off quantities from drawings for measurement purposes and to assist in the preparation of requisitions.
  • Assisting in the preparation of construction completion documentation.
  • Ensuring that the works are constructed to a good quality in line with the specification and good working practice.
  • Ensuring that quality records are maintained.
  • Working with other site staff to ensure that all works are carried out in accordance with current legislation, our Company health & safety policy, procedures, and safe working practices.
  • Maintaining good, honest, and open lines of communication.
  • Leading by example in terms of safety behaviors.

Requirements:

As a Site Engineer, you will have a strong understanding of construction practices and procedures, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. You will be able to work effectively in a team environment and have a strong commitment to safety and quality.
