Job Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity to join Gi Group as a Maintenance Technician, supporting the Operations team in ensuring equipment uptime through effective planned maintenance activities. The role involves a mix of facilities management responsibilities, including repairs, refurbishments, and installations, as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Comply with Health & Safety and Environmental policies.
  • Advanced understanding of general maintenance procedures and techniques.
  • Well-organized and able to prioritize tasks with excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Preventive and reactive maintenance requirements.
  • Contractor control and issuing of work permits.
  • Use problem-solving knowledge to effectively participate in 8D's and RCPS activities to address unplanned downtime issues and prevent re-occurrence.
  • Support installation projects for new equipment.
  • Use and suggest improvements for Maximo (CMMS) to manage and enhance various planned maintenance activities.
  • Fault finding electrical control units.
  • Managing and maintaining Inventory.
  • Fault finding in hydraulic/pneumatic test rigs & circuits.

Desirable Experience:

  • Relevant Engineering qualification (electrical).
  • Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems knowledge.
  • Electrical control systems.
  • 3 Phase.
  • Motor/pump.
  • PLC integration.
  • Full UK driving license.
