Join Our Team as a Culinary Specialist

Are you passionate about food and ready to showcase your culinary skills? At Elysium Healthcare, we are seeking a Culinary Specialist to be an integral part of our kitchen team. In this role, you will work 37.5 hours a week, preparing nutritious meals for our service users, staff, and visitors.

Your Responsibilities:

• Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations.
• Ensure proper food storage and stock rotation in accordance with established guidelines.
• Prepare and cook meals to a consistently high standard, accommodating special dietary needs.
• Provide professional and courteous service to all guests.
• Prepare food for events and special occasions.
• Participate in food cost management and effective inventory control.
• Comply with 'Safer Food Better Business' standards and maintain accurate records.
• Adhere to Food Hygiene Regulations and safety protocols at all times.
• Take full responsibility for the catering operations during your shifts.
• Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new menus that promote healthy eating.
• Maintain thorough documentation related to food safety and hygiene practices.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• GCSE or equivalent in English.
• City & Guilds 706/1 and 2 (or equivalent) in Basic Food Preparation and Cooking.
• Basic Food Hygiene certification is essential; Intermediate Food Hygiene is desirable.
• Previous experience in a similar culinary environment.
• Experience in mass food service delivery.
• Skills in menu planning, budgeting, and stock management.
