Position: Mechanical Service Technician

Location: Depot based in Scotland

Employment Type: Permanent

Working Hours: Monday - Thursday, 8 hours per day

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in welding and have hands-on experience with commercial vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct servicing and repairs on both Whale and Non-Whale equipment.
2. Accurately diagnose faults across all systems and efficiently manage the supply of parts to ensure first-time fixes in accordance with client schedules.
3. Identify potential opportunities for additional work and report findings accordingly.
4. Maintain equipment calibration, service, and inspection standards in compliance with company protocols.
5. Perform any other ad-hoc tasks as required.

Qualifications:
- Proven experience working with commercial vehicles, plant machinery, or HGV vehicles.
- An engineering background with knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- Welding experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces is preferred.
