We are seeking an experienced Criminal Duty Solicitor to join our dynamic Crime Team in our London City office. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a well-respected law firm that offers a high-quality and varied criminal caseload.

About the Role

  • The successful candidate will have experience handling their own caseload, working on a variety of police work, and criminal matters.
  • Ideally, you will have over 1 year of PQE experience as a Duty Solicitor or Police Station Representative.
  • You will be able to confidently represent clients at police stations.
  • Competently preparing cases for trial and appeal.
  • Conducting advocacy in the Magistrates Court, including summary trials.
  • Conducting advocacy in the Crown Court if you have Higher Rights.
  • Crime Duty Accreditation is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and advocacy skills.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in criminal law and experience working as a Duty Solicitor or Police Station Representative. You will be able to work independently and as part of a team, and have excellent communication and advocacy skills.
