Role Overview:
UK Power Networks stands at the forefront of the Distributed Network Operator sector, committed to facilitating the transition to Net Zero while minimizing costs for our customers.
The IT Asset Management Specialist will play a pivotal role in optimizing our IT Hardware and Software resources. You will manage the Asset Management Database, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies as they arise.
Key Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities will encompass:
- Hardware Management: Oversee approximately 5,000 laptops, 3,000 field devices, and 5,300 mobile phones.
- Software Management: Manage around 200 licensed desktop applications and server software.
In this role, you will support the IT Asset Manager in various aspects of IT Asset Management, ensuring that all records are current and that assets are utilized efficiently.
Essential Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in an IT environment focusing on data analytics.
- Experience in managing small-scale projects and gathering requirements.
- Strong collaboration skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel, TEAMS, and PowerBI.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with ITIL, ITSM, and ITAM frameworks.
- Understanding of IT Hardware Asset Management principles.
- Knowledge of Software Licensing practices.
- Experience with Service Now and Intune platforms.
