Musculoskeletal Exercise Therapist

We are seeking an experienced Exercise Therapist to join our team at NELFT NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our musculoskeletal team, you will be responsible for developing and delivering exercise programs for patients with musculoskeletal conditions.

• Develop and deliver exercise programs for patients with musculoskeletal conditions
• Work closely with our musculoskeletal physiotherapists and exercise therapists to develop exercise classes and individual programs
• Goal setting, education, and motivation of individuals to promote recovery and self-management
• Referring and signposting individuals to appropriate services, such as exercise on referral and community groups
• Maintaining accurate electronic records

• Minimum of a Level 3 NVQ qualification in Instructing Physical Activity and Exercise or equivalent
• Level 3 Diploma Exercise Referral Instructor Certificate
• Experience of health-related physical activity, leading group exercise sessions, and exercise prescription for individuals with specific musculoskeletal or long-term conditions
• Knowledge of a range of musculoskeletal conditions and appropriate exercise prescription
