TPF Recruitment, a leading recruitment agency for the accountancy sector, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join a reputable firm of accountants on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general practice, with experience in accounts, tax, bookkeeping, and VAT reporting.
Key Responsibilities:- Preparation of Statutory Accounts: The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing statutory accounts to review stage using IRIS, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Management Accounts Production: The Senior Accountant will assist in the production of management accounts, providing timely and accurate financial information to stakeholders.
- Personal and Corporate Taxation: The candidate will be responsible for preparing personal and corporate taxation returns, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
- General Bookkeeping Duties: The Senior Accountant will perform general bookkeeping duties using Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks, maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Coaching and Mentoring: The successful candidate will coach and mentor junior staff members and trainees, providing guidance and support to ensure their professional development.
- Experience: The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience working in an accountancy practice, with a strong background in general practice.
- Qualifications: The Senior Accountant must be AAT, ACA, or ACCA qualified, or have equivalent experience.
- Skills: The candidate will have hands-on experience of accounts, tax, and VAT preparation, with proficiency in IRIS and cloud software such as Xero or QuickBooks.
