Phonics Specialist

Role Overview

Protocol Education is seeking a highly skilled Phonics Specialist to support the development of literacy skills in Key Stage 1 students. As a Phonics Specialist, you will play a vital role in helping students achieve their full potential in reading and writing.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver phonics sessions to small groups of students aged 4 to 8, using the RWI Phonics scheme.
• Plan and prepare lesson materials, utilizing resources provided by the school.
• Develop and implement engaging activities that align with the RWI scheme and the KS1 and EYFS curriculum.
• Collaborate with teachers to ensure seamless integration of phonics instruction into the curriculum.

Requirements

• Experience delivering phonics sessions and a strong understanding of the KS1 and EYFS curriculum.
• Level 2/3 Early Years Educator qualification or equivalent experience in EYFS.
• SEND Certificate and other Phonics training qualifications are beneficial.
