Senior Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our client's busy team in Nottingham. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the design and delivery of electrical engineering projects, working closely with the Senior Leadership Team and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead the design and delivery of electrical engineering projects, ensuring they are completed to a high technical standard, on time, and within budget.
  2. Assist more junior staff with technical queries and provide guidance and support as needed.
  3. Carry out fee-earning work, including the design of schemes and feasibility studies.
  4. Meet with clients to establish project briefs and budget costs, and draw up detailed specifications and drawings.
  5. Review tenders received and prepare tender reports and recommendations.
  6. Project manage site works from commencement to completion, monitoring progress against specification requirements.
  7. Carry out inspections of existing installations and submit condition reports.
  8. Manage the day-to-day workload of individuals reporting to you.
Essential Skills:
  1. Degree/Master's degree in Engineering.
  2. Member of the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers and/or The Energy Institute (or equivalents).
  3. Chartered Engineer status or approaching.
  4. Experience in managing successful M&E teams.
  5. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
  6. Experience using Trimble ProDesign for electrical design.
  7. Familiarity with all relevant legislation, codes of practice, CIBSE guides, building regulations, and best practices, including sustainability requirements.
  8. Full driving license and access to a vehicle.
