Workday Extend Architect (Manager) Job Description

At Kainos, we're looking for a highly skilled Workday Extend Architect (Manager) to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality Workday Extend solutions to our global customer base.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all phases of Workday Extend implementation projects, including design sessions and configuration decisions.
  • Contribute to business development activities, working with the sales team to achieve sales targets.
  • Manage, coach, and develop a small team of staff, focusing on employee performance and career development.
  • Develop the capability in your area and/or local region, attracting, recruiting, developing, and mentoring senior talent.
Requirements:
  • Workday Extend and Integrations certified.
  • Extensive experience with designing and building custom software applications, preferably in Extend.
  • Expert knowledge in web service technologies (REST and SOAP).
  • Expert proficiency in Excel, particularly designing and building complex financial planning models.
  • Exceptional understanding of and experience in Workday and SaaS delivery methodologies and models.
  • Exceptional consulting skills to understand problem statements and translate them to IT software requirements.
  • Excellent understanding of project methodologies and how to manage to them.
  • Able to travel to customer sites in the same region, with minimal out-of-region travel required.
Desirable:
  • Develop and deliver products/offerings and services that differentiate Kainos in the marketplace.
People Management:
  • Agree, set, and review your and your team's goals aligned to Kainos, Workday BU, and your capability.
  • Provide support for your and your team's goals to be achieved.
  • Review and refine goals for relevance and to keep performance on track.
  • Review performance against goals and provide feedback.
  • Conduct 1:1 monthly and/or project completion feedback meetings.
  • Request and provide regular feedback in Workday.
  • Identify training to support your and your team's development.
  • Pursue and support you and your team members' career paths and progression.
