Roads and Street Works Inspector

About the Role:
We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our Street Works Team as a Roads and Street Works Inspector. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the statutory co-ordination and management of street works carried out by the council as highway authority and statutory undertakers on the public highway.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake the inspection, recording, and reporting of street works, highway infrastructure, and surface apparatus defects in accordance with street works legislation and associated regulations and codes of practice.
- Ensure that all works on the highway are carried out in a safe and legal manner as required under NRSWA and address any breaches accordingly.
- Prepare evidence and witness statements against illegal activities.
- Work collaboratively with the team to achieve our objectives and provide a high standard of service to our customers.
About You:
We are looking for an individual with substantial experience in street works in accordance with NRSWA. You should possess recognised New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 accredited training, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of Local Authority and highways network operations.
