Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious individual to join our team as an Assistant Greenkeeper at Fore Street Employment Agency Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the golf course to the highest standards, ensuring that the course is always in excellent condition for our members and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the golf course, including cutting, rolling, and marking the greens, tees, and fairways.
  • Operate and maintain a variety of machinery, including mowers, trimmers, and sprayers.
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the golf course, including fertilizing, pruning, and aerating.
  • Work closely with the Head Greenkeeper to ensure that the course is always in excellent condition.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of the golf course maintenance plan.
Requirements:
  • NVQ level 2/3 in greenkeeping and sports turf management or other land-based qualifications.
  • PA1, PA2 & PA6 spraying qualifications, would be preferred.
  • A full driving license.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Competent in the use of a wide variety of machinery.
  • Mechanically minded, would be preferred.
  • Driven, flexible, and good communication and organizational skills.
