This position offers a competitive salary of £26,500 annually, alongside exceptional benefits such as complimentary access to our gym and swimming pool, £50 staff rates for stays at De Vere Hotels, and 31 days of holiday, plus an additional paid day off for your birthday.

As the Deputy Head Housekeeper, your responsibilities will include collaborating with the Executive Head Housekeeper to establish, oversee, and uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and guest service. Your keen attention to detail will guarantee that our guests experience impeccably clean accommodations and unforgettable moments during their stay. You will also act as the Head Housekeeper in their absence, managing team supervision and controlling housekeeping expenses in alignment with business forecasts to maximize room division profitability.

You will lead by example, cultivating a warm environment where team members feel valued. By fostering genuine relationships with your colleagues, you will instill a sense of belonging and encourage them to take pride in their contributions.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience in the hospitality sector, ideally in a comparable role within a similar-sized property; however, we welcome candidates aspiring to advance their careers.
  • Ability to maintain a consistent level of service amidst guest demands, always with a sharp eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in IT; familiarity with Opera and Fourth Hospitality systems is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, including health and safety, COSHH, environmental health, and fire safety regulations.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to deliver exceptional service.
  • Excellent organizational skills with effective time management, prioritizing tasks, and managing work schedules to meet operational needs.
