Legal & General is seeking a highly experienced Data Architect to spearhead our data and information architecture practice.

This role will focus on establishing robust processes, frameworks, and governance structures to ensure effective data management across the entire organization. As a champion of best practices in data architecture, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our data strategy and driving its successful implementation.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Advocating for data and information architecture within Legal & General, ensuring it is recognized as a core strategic priority.
  • Driving the adoption of architectural standards and data governance processes across all departments and teams.
  • Designing and implementing comprehensive controls to meet the evolving needs of our data architecture framework.
  • Translating complex business requirements into clear and concise data models that support our operational objectives.
  • Collaborating closely with senior management and other architects to define IT strategy and roadmaps, ensuring alignment between data solutions and overall business goals.
  • Proactively identifying and mitigating potential risks associated with data management, safeguarding the integrity and security of our information assets.

We are looking for an individual with:

  • Extensive experience in data architecture, particularly within large-scale projects involving complex data landscapes.
  • A deep understanding of data management concepts, including data governance, metadata management, and data modeling methodologies.
  • Proven success as a Principal Architect, demonstrating leadership and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
