Job Description

Job Title: Warehouse Operative

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and physically fit Warehouse Operative to join our team at People Solutions. As a Warehouse Operative, you will be responsible for receiving, dispatching, and storing goods in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and dispatch goods as required
  • Load and unload customer's goods in line with warehouse targets
  • Pick goods from stock for our store customers in line with Key Performance Indicators (KPI's)
  • Count stock and re-bag as required to ensure stock is kept in good condition
  • Maintain high levels of housekeeping standards
  • Provide a high level of internal and external customer care
  • Handle customer's goods carefully and correctly in line with standard operating procedures
  • Perform other relevant duties as directed by management to ensure the effective performance of the warehouse operation

Requirements:

  • Must have own transport due to the location of the site
  • Punctuality and good time-keeping skills
  • Must have experience working in a warehouse for this role
  • Must be able to speak/read a certain level of English to follow instruction and be safe on site
  • Flexibility and ability to work overtime as and when required
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to adhere to deadlines
  • Must be physically fit as you will need to lift and carry items up to 25kg
  • Must pass a Drug & Alcohol Test
  • Must pass a basic English & Numeracy Test
  • Must have the Right to Work in the UK and be able to prove this
