Anaesthetics Theatres/obstetrics Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Locum Consultant Anaesthetist to join our team at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust.
The Anaesthetic Department is a large and active department with close operational links with Theatres on each site. The department is integrated with the Pain Management Services, all being part of the Clinical Support Division (CSD). The Divisional Director for CSD is Dr Thea De Beer and the Clinical Director for the Theatres & Anaesthesia is Dr Hannah Sycamore.
The Clinical Departments of Anaesthesia maintain close links with the University Department headed by Professor Jonathan Hardman. The Clinical and University departments collaborate to provide teaching for undergraduates in addition to all grades of anaesthetic trainees. Laboratory and clinical research can be undertaken and the development of individual and specialist research interests is encouraged.
Locally, specialty training in anaesthesia is managed by the East Midlands School of Anaesthesia, Health Education East Midlands. The Anaesthetic departments are actively involved in the training of specialty trainees at all levels.

Clinical Skills and Experience- Relevant training and experience to meet all aspects of the job plan, including on-call work.
- Experience within a UK teaching hospital in the past 6 months.
- Specific training in communication skills.
- Specific training in patient safety and/or human factors.
