Key Responsibilities

Technical Analysis and Documentation:

  • Engage with Medical Change Leaders and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to conduct thorough technical assessments of organizational and user requirements.
  • Compile detailed specifications for business solutions, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards and best practices.
  • Review existing departmental workflows and processes, proposing re-engineering strategies to maximize system efficiency and improve performance.

System Development and Deployment:

  • Collaborate with HCA EHR Medical Change Leaders, SMEs, and cross-functional teams to ensure that proposed solutions are effectively designed and patient-focused.
  • Oversee the deployment of departmental systems, including conducting workflow analyses and ensuring seamless integration with other systems.
  • Develop and enhance system functionalities in accordance with technical specifications.

Testing and Quality Assurance:

  • Assist clinical teams during unit and integrated testing phases of the EHR rollout.
  • Coordinate testing activities, ensuring comprehensive evaluation and clinical validation of the EHR system's functionalities.
  • Identify and resolve issues that arise during testing, working closely with technical teams and stakeholders.
  • Participate in the planning and validation of processes prior to the secure transfer of data to the live EHR system.

Training and Knowledge Transfer:

  • Lead training sessions and workshops to educate clinical staff on best practices and documentation standards.
  • Collaborate with the training and development team to ensure effective knowledge transfer from the clinical build team.
  • Contribute clinical insights to the creation of comprehensive training materials for end-users.
  • Provide ongoing support to clinical staff during the transition to the new EHR system.

Process Improvement and Optimization:

  • Continuously assess processes and workflows related to the EHR implementation, identifying opportunities for enhancement.
  • Support the planning and execution of cutover and go-live activities as directed by clinical leadership.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and foster a culture of continuous enhancement.

Innovation and Technological Advancement:

  • Explore innovative concepts and technologies to enhance existing systems and streamline processes.
  • Identify opportunities for automation to improve the functionality of the new EHR system and support high-quality patient care.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Essential:

  • Certification or demonstrable experience in implementing technological changes and/or business analysis.
  • Prior experience in defining or mapping requirements for digital health projects within the UK healthcare sector.
  • Proficient in key applications such as Visio, Excel, and MS Teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights for process improvements.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on reviewing documentation and process maps.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced agile team environment.
  • A proactive individual with a commitment to continuous learning and development.

Desired:

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Experience in Electronic Health Record implementation projects in a business analyst or operational role.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and familiarity with Agile project environments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging diverse stakeholders.
  • Comfortable with technology adoption and proficient in using electronic health record systems.
  • Adaptable and solution-oriented, thriving in dynamic environments.

  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards related to electronic health record systems.
