Position: OPAT Specialist Nurse

Type: Permanent - Part Time (29.7 hours per week) - Band 6

An exciting opportunity exists for a dedicated OPAT (Outpatient Parenteral Antimicrobial Therapy) Specialist Nurse to become part of a dynamic healthcare team.

The successful candidate will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and fellow specialist nurses, showcasing exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, along with a strong commitment to delivering outstanding patient-centered care. Evidence of ongoing professional development is essential.

Ideal candidates will have experience in managing patients requiring intravenous antibiotic therapy, possess substantial acute nursing experience, and demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the OPAT specialist nurse role, along with transferable skills.

Leadership and management capabilities are crucial for facilitating change as we evolve our services into a nurse-led pathway.

This role primarily operates within a healthcare facility, with responsibilities that may extend to various community hospitals to support service activities as needed.
