Job Description

Job Summary:

Polaris Education is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Special Education Needs (SEN) Teacher to join our team. As a SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons to students with complex ASC & SEMH needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement tailored lesson plans to meet the individual needs of students with ASC & SEMH.
  • Collaborate with the class team to facilitate learning opportunities and promote positive behaviors.
  • Monitor and report on student progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness.
  • Supervise students during non-classroom time, including extra-curricular activities and school trips.
  • Build positive relationships with students and drive interaction and positive learning outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Suitable qualification to degree level
  • Previous successful teaching experience
  • Experience of working with students with SEND in an educational setting
  • Experience of behavior management and techniques
  • Commitment to professional development and willingness to learn
  • Ability to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check
