Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Primary SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team at Ribbons and Reeves Limited. As a Primary SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a primary school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide classroom support to children with various needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition, Speech and Communication Difficulties, and ADHD.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver learning activities for individuals and groups of students, tailored to their unique needs and abilities.
  • Monitor pupils' progress, assess, record, and report on their achievement, progress, and development.
  • Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and family members, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Work closely with the school's multidisciplinary teams, including CAMHS, the School Nursing Service, and Early Help and Social Care teams.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications and experience in supporting children with SEND.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
