About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team at Harris Academy Rainham. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of our students.

Main Responsibilities
  • Supporting Student Learning
    • Provide individualized support to students with diverse learning needs, ensuring their access to learning and achievement of learning goals.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of learning plans and strategies to meet the needs of students.
  • Classroom Support
    • Supervise and support students during lessons, maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment.
    • Assist teachers with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery, as needed.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Establish and maintain positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents, promoting effective communication and collaboration.
    • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of strategies to support student learning.
  • Administrative Support
    • Provide administrative support to teachers and other staff members, as needed.
    • Assist with record-keeping, data entry, and other tasks related to student progress and achievement.
Requirements
  • Qualifications and Experience
    • Hold a degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.
    • Have experience working with students with diverse learning needs, preferably in an educational setting.
    • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
