Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and caring Care Assistant to join our team at Chyvarhas Residential and Nursing Home. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing personalized care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care to residents, including personal care, medication management, and mobility support.
- Assist residents with daily activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support residents with their nutritional needs, including meal preparation and serving.
- Encourage residents to participate in leisure and social activities, promoting their physical and mental well-being.
- Work collaboratively with the care team to ensure residents receive comprehensive care and support.
Requirements
- Experience in a care setting, preferably in a residential or nursing home environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with residents, families, and colleagues.
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach, with a commitment to delivering high-quality care.
- Basic knowledge of care principles and practices, with a willingness to learn and develop skills.
